Health New Zealand’s National AI and Algorithm Expert Advisory Group (NAIAEAG) has officially endorsed the T-Pro AI Scribe, the first fully integrated, enterprise-ready ambient AI scribe available in New Zealand, for use within Health New Zealand.
It is now progressing through privacy, security and contractual processes.

T-Pro’s advanced AI scribe is designed to streamline clinical documentation by generating clinical notes in real time during patient consultations.
This enables clinicians to focus on their patients and capture important information at the point of contact. The software provides clinicians with customisable templates for patient notes and clinical letters, seamlessly feeding them into hospital information systems or into their existing workflow platforms like DMW.

The T-Pro AI scribe differentiates given its deep integration into DMW, the clinical document workflow platform that has been implemented in the majority of hospitals throughout New Zealand. Patients and clinic appointments are available in the T-Pro mobile and web applications, so documentation is automatically linked to the correct records. Transcribed text generated by the T-Pro AI scribe is immediately populated into DMW documents for electronic signature, administrative proofing and distribution to recipients such as GPs and patients.

These documents are also available in the Clinical Portal and other document repositories. For clinical documentation workflows without any copy and paste, just faster, safer and smarter documentation at scale.

The T-Pro AI scribe can also work independently of DMW for those services that don’t use the platform. Patient notes and summaries can be created by the T-Pro AI scribe from your PC or mobile devices and delivered back to other systems, making it ideal for Nursing, Allied Health and ED services.

Sound Business Systems (SBS), New Zealand’s only specialist in networked digital dictation solutions with staff residing throughout New Zealand, is excited to introduce T-Pro’s advanced clinical documentation platform to New Zealand.
The team at SBS is helping hospitals and other healthcare providers implement advanced, integrated dictation and document workflow systems that work seamlessly with existing infrastructure and processes.

SBS’s director, Garry Looker, said: “Sound Business is now part of the T-Pro Group and we are excited to be able to offer its leading ambient AI scribe to New Zealand.
We are seeing more and more hospitals move away from siloed, single-purpose tools in favour of a unified system that combines all documentation tools and supports the entire clinical workflow across multiple departments. We are committed to assisting healthcare providers improve front-line service delivery and reduce clinician burnout through a fully integrated, scalable, and future-ready documentation platform.”
