Biography

Dr Sterrett has been training, working, and teaching in emergency medicine for over 28 years, and is currently a Staff Specialist at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Emergency Department, part of Northern Sydney Local Health District.
He has degrees in Chemistry, Cell Biology, and is a Fellow of both the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine.  In his role as Chief Medical Information Officer for NSLHD, he wishes to build on his prior experience in transitioning to electronic records in other hospitals/health systems; his passion is the use of technology to improve patient care while increasing clinician satisfaction.
When he’s not working, Dr Sterrett might be found fly-fishing, playing guitar, or on a long walk.
