SpeechKit (DMS) is now supported for both front-end SR and back-end SR (deferred recognition).

Author Plus
Winscribe Author is now deprecated and will be automatically upgraded to Author Plus. This is part of our initiative to modernize our applications by replacing VB6 components with .NET ones. The web setup page for Winscribe Author has been replaced with an Author Plus Page.

Recorder Plus
Recorder is now deprecated and is replaced by Recorder Plus. This is part of our initiative to modernize our applications by replacing VB6 components with .NET ones. Recorder Plus can be controlled remotely via file drop and Web API.

Audio Importer Device Configuration
Audio Importer now supports configuring the connected device.

OS Support
Winscribe Dictation 5.0 no longer supports Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
All .NET components have been upgraded to .NET 4.6 (which is not supported on Windows XP and Server 2003. Winscribe Dictation 5.0 supports Windows Server 2019 and SQL Server 2017.

Web Manager Audio Playback (SR jobs)
The Job Update page in Web Manager now provides a play bar for listening to the audio of SR jobs.
